The Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can intercepts oil vapor from the PCV system before it can re-circulate through the FK8's intake tract and bake onto your intake valves as carbon. Direct-fit, vehicle-specific mounting bracket — bolts to existing chassis points, no drilling. Direct-injection engines like the K20C1 don't get fuel washing across the back of the intake valves the way port-injected engines do — which means oil vapor and combustion blow-by gradually deposit carbon on the valves and intake runners, slowly choking the intake side over tens of thousands of miles. A catch can intercepts that oil before it reaches the valves. Cheap, easy, and one of the highest-ROI things you can do for long-term engine health on a direct-injection turbo car. 50mm bore for full-flow at boost. Before you buy

Does it need a tune?
Depends on the part. Bolt-ons like this catch can are designed to run safely on the stock tune, but if you're stacking mods (downpipe, intake, bigger intercooler) a supporting tune gets the most out of them. Message us with your full mod list and we'll tell you straight.
CARB-legal in CA?
Emissions-related parts need a CARB EO number to be street-legal in California. We don't claim CARB legality unless the manufacturer publishes an EO for the exact part number — if you're in CA, email us the part and we'll confirm the EO status before you order.
Fit with an aftermarket bumper?
Fitment is verified against the listed factory FK8 chassis only. Aftermarket bumpers, lips, and ducting can change clearances — especially on cooling parts. If you're running a non-OEM bumper, send us a photo and the brand and we'll sanity-check clearance first.

Warranty info

Every part Kodo carries is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Most cover defects in materials and workmanship for a brand-specific duration. Negligence, modification, and racing use are commonly excluded.

To start a warranty claim, email marc@kodoautomotive.shop with your order ID, photos / video of the failure, and a short description of the install. We route the claim to the manufacturer and stay in the loop until it's resolved.

Shipping info

Processing & handling: Orders are reviewed and routed to the appropriate warehouse within 1 business day of payment confirmation. Backordered items hold the full shipment until in stock.

Transit time: 2–7 business days inside the continental US. Large items (intercoolers, exhausts, wheels) drop-ship direct from the manufacturer and can take 5–10 business days.

Logistics partners: UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL depending on package size, weight, and destination. We pick the carrier on a per-shipment basis.

Tracking: A tracking number is emailed the moment your label is generated. Tracking populates with the carrier within a few hours.

Where we ship from: Multiple US-based fulfillment centers and manufacturer warehouses. Your packing slip may reflect the supplier brand.

International shipping: Available at calculated rates. Duties and import taxes are collected by the carrier on delivery and are not included in the shipping rate quoted at checkout.

Return policy

Don't love your new purchase?
We'll take it back, no hassle.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition you received it: unused, uninstalled, with all hardware, tags, and original packaging intact. Parts with install marks, cut wires, scratched hardware, or missing components are not eligible.

To start a return, contact us at marc@kodoautomotive.shop with your order ID, the part name, and the reason. We reply within 1–2 business days with an RMA number and the return address. Don't ship parts back without an RMA — unauthorized returns get refused at the warehouse.

If the return is accepted, we'll inspect the item on arrival and issue your refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee to cover inventory, repackaging, and carrier handling. The fee is waived for defects, warranty claims, and wrong-item-shipped situations — those are on us.

Return shipping: You're responsible for paying your own shipping cost to return the item. Original outbound shipping is non-refundable. If the item value is over $75, we strongly recommend a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance — we can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

International / overseas returns: International orders are not eligible for refund due to increased international shipping fees and customs reimport complications. Exchanges and warranty claims are still honored. Reach out and we'll work something out.
